To make sure your new order doesn't default to your old address, go into your BestBuy.com account and delete your old address. Now, add your new one and make sure your old one is nowhere to be found. Walmart has never chased me into the parking lot for not showing a receipt. </p><p>The Walmart employees are useless, but at least they know they are useless. I once had a Best Buy employee tell me that I need a 1080p tv because of the super bowl.  I asked what resulotion the show was being broadcasted in, and he said 1080. I had to explain to him how there is no broadcast television in 1080. He was useless, but didn't know it. </p><p>Also, their prices inside of the 128 belt of Massachusetts are the best. I can't find cereal, crackers, or an emergency hard drive cheaper. They even beat the Costco prices with gas is factored into the equation if I go to NH. </p><p>And really? Get off your high horse. I am receiving a PS3 with a broken blueray player. I am going to take out the blueray player from the YLOD one and put it in the other one. In the end the total cost of the 2 PS3s will be about 185 dollars. And I will have a 60 gig backwards compatible PS3. Even if I didn't want to go through the bother of getting 2. In any dispute where you buy a product and the shipper screws up no matter how you shipped it, whether you paid for hillbilly express or not it is the merchants responsibility to get it to you. So do an EECB and call them of course make an initial attempt.</p><p>Check to see if the receipt has the correct address on it and if it does then your brother can charge back BestBuy for not delivering the product to your brother. First of all, Best Buy must ship packages with insurance?  They should be able to deal with that and file a claim with UPS.</p><p>Secondly, isn't it theft to accept a package that's not addressed to you (e.g. not in your name)?  Perhaps it's worth filing a police report, talking to the police and see what they can do? I discussed this with my postmaster when I started getting a lot of misaddressed mail.  He said that once it is delivered to the proper address, it is no longer a Post Office issue.  He said that it would be a \"roommate\" issue.   [I try to check them and write \"return to sender\" on the ones that are misaddressed.]</p><p>Does anyone have any case law or actual law citations on this issue? When I updated it, it wouldn't let me use my Rewards card because the addresses didn't match.  I still get ads and offers to my old address but nothing to the one I changed about a year ago.  I haven't ordered anything since then, but I know their online system is screwed up.<br />One other thing is shouldn't your credit card notice a package with a shipping address in another state and have a fraud flag? Couldn't best buy press some sort of theft charge against the household in New Jersey? If you get them to refund your money and don't want to wait for them to ship a new one, and you still insist on purchasing from Best Buy, there are at least 4 locations that I can think of that are relatively (by relatively, I mean around an hour or so) close to Union. Manchester/141, Chesterfield Valley, Gravois Bluffs and Ellisville. Actually, scratch that, <a href=\"http://digg.com/hardware/PWNED_Couple_pays_1_600_for_a_can_of_pasta_sauce_Best_Buy\" rel=\"nofollow\">don't go to the Ellisville one</a>. Is that a failure on the part of the delivery guy and thus UPS is responsible for reconciling this?</p><p>And don't claim innocence for the person who gets a PS3 dropped on their doorstep for free. I \"edited\" my address in Bestbuy's system. Hindsight I should have \"deleted\" and entered a brand new address. I didn't think it would be such a hassle.<br />3.) I didn't wait a week to check the order status. I checked my order status on BestBuy.com the next day (2/26) and found out it was being sent to NJ. I called Best Buy immediately to try and change the address mid-shipment. No dice. They said they couldn't help me. The rep told me to call UPS to see if they could do anything.<br />4.) Best Buy initiated a \"tracer\". All the tracer did was ask UPS if they sent it to the right address. According to UPS they did since Best Buy gave them the wrong address in the first place. </p><p>It has been 2 1/2 weeks and still no resolution to the problem. I requested an escalation on Monday (3/8). Call back time from a supervisor was said to between 24-74 hours. Why Best Buy couldn't send me directly to a supervisor, I don't know why. I called back 72 hours later and actually talked to the same rep that escalated the call. She was at a lost why there was no call back. </p><p>I will try to call again on Monday (3/15). Maybe something will finally pan out. How this \"glitch\" is allowed to remain/no fixed by Best Buy is beyond unacceptable as it has existed for at LEAST two years.
