I know they will usually make good, but there's that *one* manager who sticks to the letter of the list. And as consumers, we *know* we are supposed to read and follow the rules.</p><br />
<p>I'm actually going to a smaller place where there shouldn't be the lines, but their list said "bring your military ID".</p><br />
<p>If they asked me for my input, I'd tell them "bring anything that shows you were in the military - orders, pictures, ID"</p></p>]]>

If they said discharge papers, orders or documents showing you served or a medal or patch, fine -- I have all that, but they are a little restrictive if they decided to be picky.</p><br />

        <![CDATA[<p><p>Some of these deals for vets are ticking me off by demonstrating their lack of knowledge about the military. Several of them said you had to show a military ID (or veterans org membership card) when most veterans don't have an ID and don't join the Legion or VFW. I spent 10 years active duty &amp; reserves, but, since I didn't retire, I don't get a government ID and I never saw the value in joining the veterans groups.</p><br />
<p>I'm sure they'll let me chow down for free, but I find it irritating that they didn't ask someone in the know before putting out the offer.</p></p>]]>
