Our Flickr Pool is the place where Consumerist readers go and upload photos for possible use in future Consumerist posts. Just be a registered Flickr user, go here, and click "Join Group?" up on the top right, and start hitting "send to group" on your individual photos you want to add to the pool.

Note that if you want them to have a shot at ending up on the Consumerist Friday post, you'll need to open up your sharing settings on your Flickr account so we can grab the HTML from the "Share This" tab. Sorry, but that's the only way to get Flickr and Consumerist to play with each other.

I stayed at a hotel a few blocks north of the Flatiron Building (the Y shaped street just lower left of center) and it was fun walking around Times Square and the theatre district. I'll be going to the Met on the 21'st, taking a walk through Central Park (I was there for the Gates) and heading down to the Polish or Russian section for dinner later.

I usually drive but since my friend lives there he knows all the trains and we should be able to avoid the hassle and expense of parking.

@SaraFimm: It's hotly spiced pepper sauce. Whether it's real or not, you got me.

As for the city, I see the Flatiron Building ([en.wikipedia.org])in the middle, so that would make it New York City.

Is Darth Vader eating one of those "cupcake cones"? I remember those from my childhood - eat the frosting, a tiny bit of the cone/cake part and throw it away.

WHAT is Shitto? I can't read the full label. Is it a joke or a real grocery item?

What city is that digitizedchaos? Makes me think New York and then some of the buildings remind me of San Francisco.

That octopus looks scary. If it wasn't holding a tuba I think a mini submarine would look cool.

@MooseOfReason: if you look at the next pic in the photostream

it shows that it's taken with a hotel behind it and the greenish light is probably coming off the hotel's lighting [the next pic is black and white]
also, that's of a short bridge between a marina and a boat ramp so there's likely to be lighting from each location, potentially in different colors, warring with each other in the sky

I've always thought Jellyfish were crazy-ass animals. I mean, with most animals, there are your usual common things; eyes, mouth, appendages that resemble either fins or hands, etc. But Jellyfish have nothing. They're just like blobs.
