@noasalira: That's not how I read the report. They don't characterize BPA as \"poison,\" and in fact they clearly theorize a safe level of BPA. It's also addressed as a problem with cans across the brand spectrum, not specifically restricted to Campbell's.

@floraposte: Right. Not necessarily poison, but a potentially, and probably, dangerous toxic chemical that is found in almost all can linings, hard plastics, etc.

The current \"safe level\" is way too high, and the FDA needs to do further investigation of the hundreds of studies finding all sorts of adverse effects to BPA exposure.

It's not so much the length of the noodles, but the girth. They could make the noodles half as thick and then advertise 64 feet of noodles!

Their chicken noodle soup is good when you are sick and can't keep anything other than salty chicken-flavored water down...but it is definitely not my first choice in soups.

Actually, considering the quality of what Campbell's tries to pass off as \"chicken\" in their non-condensed soups, maybe it's best that their Chicken Noodle Soup has as little as possible.

@nbs2: I remember what I was thinking of. Breyers is now advertising \"More Dutch Cocoa\" and \"More Vanilla Beans\" in their ice creams. That they are cutting back on the rest and likely using cheaper bulk grade cocoa and bean is not for noticing.

\"Slurp\" is a terrible, terrible ad campaign name. Soup slurpers are universally hated! A little slurping is necessary, especially if that bowl of liquid hot magma is so hot you can't touch your lips to the spoon for fear of being branded with a hot iron, but actually slurping soup is undesired, and those who do it get glares and angry eyes.

@GMFish: I had a hard time with this when I lived in Japan. My non-slurping was deeply ingrained and my host sister and I had a great lunch when she taught me to slurp at home.

I do agree \"slurp\" is not an appetizing term to associate with food. To my, when I think of slurp, I associate a golden retriever showing affection, not soup.

@SkokieGuy: I know, and it drives me insane. Good thing my relatives, for the most part, don't do it anymore. Most of them have finally caught on that in America, it's really, really annoying. It's not the action, though, even though I think it's awkward. It's the noise. Mr. Pi used to comment how loud Asian restaurants are, and I had to point out that the volume usually reduces with the newer generation because we have a different sense of decorum when in public.

@pecan 3.14159265: When you learned etiquette as say, a four year old, didn't your mother teach you to spoon away from yourself, and then sip (not slurp) from the long side of the spoon? I can't stand it when people put the whole bowl of the spoon into their mouths, pushing it in like it's a fork.

Meh. 32' of noodles is 384 one-inch long(1/16\" thick) noodles. By my calculations, a can could hold over 800 such noodles. Thus, the can is less than half full of noodles.

WHERE ARE THE REST OF THE NOODLES CAMPBELL'S??
