Block Spam Callers From Your Blackberry With Call Control

-->You can always just not answer your phone, but if a telemarketer calling you on your Blackberry sends you into a rage, you might want to look at Call Control. The app relies on the telemarketer database at everycall.us to screen out known spammers. The free version screens out the top 100 telemarketers; an $8 version uses the entire database and includes updates.

@Razor512: The app actually works quite well, and it is really offensive to read your completely uninformed comment. There are literally thousands of people that have installed this app already and we've received a ton of really positive feedback.

The Do Not Call list that you pointed out is not entirely effective either, for instance scammers and robo-callers don't follow the DNC laws and call millions of people per month repeatedly, and many of those complaints can be found on our website everycall.us

We've spent hundreds and hundreds of ours developing this app to help folks finally stop the calls and take back a shred of privacy. Your review is error ridden and I doubt you spent the time to even install and use the app.

Whenever I get an anonymous call or a call from someone not in my address book it gives me the option to let the call go through or straight to voice mail. It also has the option to simply block the calls from going through in the first place.

One program I use on my cell is called, Do Not Disturb. It is one of them pay apps on the Verizon app buy thing. I do believe it is also for Blackberry's App world.
I have it set up. To where if your not in my address book. You go straight to voice mail and I do not even hear a ring.

It actually works rather well. At first I was not going to pay the unlimited use fee of $16.95 or so. Then I started to get pounded with telemarketing calls. So I figured it was well worth it. 500 numbers in the blocked list later. I am a happy cell user again.. When a call does get caught up and sent to voice mail. I just add it to my address book and it lets the call through next time.

One of the interesting features of the application. Is I can set times when it sends all calls to voice mail.
Not many apps for my phone I bought and been happy with. This is one of them.

it is useless, does not work. telemarkets that ignore the do not call list are acammers and they use spoofed numbers and hide info, example google this number

402 982 0771

the number is not in service but yet many people get calls from it advertising to lower debt. when I talked to them in hopes of getting their real number, they refused, their goal in calling me was to get my banking info in order to wipe the account clean

the number changes every few weeks and you cant block the number (I tried) because it is not a true valid number. and the caller ID does not give you the hash info of the call which generally cant be spoofed

instead of paying for a crap program like this, why not just sign up for the free do not call list and get the worlds largest database of blocking spammers.

whats even worst is that theres also 1 telemarketer that calls and spoofs another valid number to some random persons house, and theres another one that calls me every day at around 4-5AM with a pre recorded message, same message but it is a different number each time and when ever I press 1 to speak to some one, it is the same person each time but they hang up because they know my voice to I have to use voice modification to talk to them in hopes of getting their real number
