Corporate Communications Manager Bronwyn Stubbs writes:</p>
<blockquote><p>I wanted to confirm that this memo is a complete fabrication. 'Robert Trugabe' is not a McDonald's Australia employee and never has been. Needless to say the contents of the letter are also completely fabricated.         <![CDATA[<p><p>As the above comment indicates, this is where not researching before posting leaves Consumerist wide open to libel suits. Despite McDonald's (and Consumerist) reporting it as fake...there will be people who still believe it is real and McD's is only covering face...</p><br />
<p>Hopefully this blows over...because I would think McD's legal team is a little more competent than Cash4Gold's (look at how - despite losing the lawsuit - they turned public perception in the hot coffee incident)...</p></p>]]>

Perhaps one in 10 times I am missing something I paid for. However if it were truly random happenstance there would be as many positive errors as negatives.</p>]]>

<p>Now is it impossible that this could happen? No. But it is very very improbable. More precisely, the probability of it being NOT a fake is 2^267709 : 1 against.</p>

<p>I could swear to you that the KFC near me has this tactic on purpose. I've tried to order food there (inside, with Mr. Aroo) about 3 times.. and every single time they leave something out. Usually MY stuff.</p><br />
<p>The last time we went there was the LAST time. He ordered a meal and I ordered a popcorn chicken snack box. Then we got home and it WASN'T THERE. He accepted the food while I was getting the drinks, and I assumed that he checked it. I told Mr. Aroo not to even go there anymore on his own because I don't want to give those idiots any more of our money.</p></p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p>It's true that it is fake...McDonalds would never send a letter like that around. They would send an email, and I am pretty sure my local McDonalds follows that policy because about 1 in 4 times I go there, I am missing my fries. I've learned to check now though.</p>]]>
