I wonder how much of a hand the parents had in that, though. (I'd have to finally get around to reading Freakonomics to be able to comment fully.) I mean, when you've got something like that going on in your life from birth on, how your parents treat you and \"it\" (whether \"it\" is being named Loser or something else entirely) probably has a big effect.</p><p>Also, I may be basing this whole theory on one case study: having gone to high school with a girl who really lived up to her last name. I don't think Oakley has a lifetime guarantee that you can actually count on like I have CdM's. Looking at Oakleys web site, they only offer a one year guarantee. Here's Costa's <a href=\"http://www.costadelmar.com/SeeOutThere/CareRepair/\" rel=\"nofollow\">[www.costadelmar.com]</a><br />I've had them replace a pair before when the hinge failed, and they replaced a cracked lens for me on a different pair for a minimal cost. I've had Oakleys, Ray Bans, Revos' and Maui Jims.</p><p>The only company who comes close to Costa in customer care is Maui Jim.
