@colorisnteverything: I've seen very conflicting information from the CDC regarding the efficacy of Tamiflu on the current strain of H1N1. Their public guidance says use it, while their research is showing 99% of the current circulating H1N1 strain is resistant to it.
Consider the very severe neurological but rare side effects reported with it, I'll skip it. It's also what I've advised my friends who've come down with oink flu as well.

Sure...instead take a vaccine that was fired through the system so fast the government (we know how good they are at the truth and having our interest) has not tested it. What a surprise that the pharmaceutical industry has arranged for the H1N1 vaccine to be pushed out so quickly, without testing. Not to mention that the H1N1 virus mutates. The vaccine, if it is not going to kill you, may only work effectively very short term as the virus mutates rapidly. Vaccines are not the answer, educate yourselves before you make this decision.

@Patches O'Houlihan: The Mercola article requires a subscription, and I'm not inclined to give them my e-mail address. The Health Freedom USA site is selling things like detox foot pads, colloidal silver, and other laughable pseudo-science products. I'm not inclined to take anything they print seriously.
The CBS Interview is interesting. The woman representing the \"be afraid of the vaccine\" side is from the National Vaccine Information Center. (Information on which can be found at [en.wikipedia.org] ) They seemed to have a civil discussion and she raised some genuine concerns.
I think the evils of the swine flu are way overblown, but don't come in here linking crazy people who want your money to do crazy things with psuedoscience to your body. You do more harm to your argument than good.

The article on Mercola's site does not require a subscription, just an email address, any address. As far as the Healthfreedomusa site, search for silver and read a little, you may be surprised.
It is not my intent to convince you or anyone else of anything. Just to suggest that people think for themselves and not take everything the pharmaceutical industry drives into their living room as factual and helpful. Or that the government is going to protect them and properly screen medications. People need to become educated on their health decisions, that is my intent.

I think I already had the swine flu...it certainly wasn't like any other flu I can remember. The headache was terrifically bad and I felt like utter crap. The sorry part was I had to go to work anyway.
Someday I wish I could afford to NOT go to work if I'm sick.
...people stupid enough to believe in homeopathy, anti-vax, aromatherapy, chelation, whatever, pretty much deserve to reap the rewards of their morony. Turning them all blue would be an enormous help to the rest of us...that way you'd immediately know not to pay any attention to them.

Colloidal Silver has its uses. It is used in burn clinics and in some births to put in infant's eyes sometimes.
As far as it killing anthrax bacteria and swine flu virus, I don't know if it would work. Even with someone turning completely blue, doesn't mean they have enough free levels of silver in their body to do any damage to the pathogen. The blue coloring may be deposits of silver which wouldn't kill everything in your body.
The swine flu vaccine only hits the human part of the virus which is only 1/3 of it; so it only offers partial protection.
The problem with vaccines that people push is the mercury content (thimerosol) in them. While normally give to adults it doesn't do much or any harm; but given to an infant it could maybe cause neuro deficits. Then the question becomes, when the vaccine is made, do they put the correct amount of thimerosol in it?
I'm personally not a big fan of mercury excepients in vaccines so I am glad they are making vaccines now without it.
I'd be more worried about the dental schools and associations who push for amalgam fillings than vaccines now since most you can get without mercury.

And after they stopped using it...there was no difference in reported issues after vacciniations?

lol,,what a discussion of my own personal experience. Back '97, I was lead-singing in a rock band and I had a severe sore throat this particular night. The guitarist's dad was watching us one night and he was also selling all this vitamin/mineral crap and he told me that if I take a gulp of this thar silver mineral solution that he had in his car, I'd be cured. Not wanted to tick him off, I did swallow a shot and damn it, within an hour my sore throat was gone. And no, I hadn't had any beer or shots of the good stuff either. But I couldn't believe what it did for my throat that night. True story.
