And people wonder why I think it's unfair to require a politician as a reference for a job like a municipal trashman or meter maid . The federal government gives you a form if you ' know ' someone who is employed by the government and people seem astonished when large scale corruption occurs or is discovered . But isn't this you must know someone contributing to this crap ?

Two different things, and I think youbastid meant non-partisan, which mayors in NJ are.

They MAY run with a party affiliation, but unlike assemblymen or congressmen, you do NOT have to be a member of a party and run for mayor. If you where to run for those other two jobs, by law you have to run with a party, even if you make one up. At the local level, you do not and can actually run undisclosed if you saw fit.

@feckingmorons: +1. Once your state or "area" gets a "Real Housewives of..." show, then you're officially no longer relevant on the national or international stage. Plus any "export" from your state/area is automatically deemed trashy. Not that NJ needed any help, per se.

Obviously you left that out because Republicans can't be trusted. If you were a Democrat, you'd have surely put that in.

And TheFuzz53 is correct. This was the Feds, not the NJ AG office. NJ's AG office hasn't done anything meaningful in at least the last 8 years. The last few NJ AGs have either done nothing or actually resigned to do ethics violations (though none admitted any wrong doing).

(At least, according to my friend who works for the IRS. She says it's why so few mobsters get nabbed for tax fraud anymore)

So when reporting on them its considered proper to not discuss their party affiliation.

The Assemblyman was for the county (Ocean) which IS a political position where party affiliation is taken into consideration. Thus why he was identified as such.

If you dont like this fact, then maybe you should petition the people in charge of deciding New Style as it has existed for decades.

This is not a surprise.

Go look for information on the illegal "transplant tourism" market, especially in China. There's one country whose citizens partake in transplant tourism more than most because its citizens have a religious rule that "their bodies must be buried whole". Said country's organ transplant system is almost bare of donors except for organs that come from the minority population which is ethnically different.

This is an issue of human rights violations (mainly, Chinese prisoners executed "on spec") and the wealthy viewing the poor as a source of "excess organs" (look up the trade in organs in India, Brazil, the Philippines, and other poor nations), not bigotry towards any particular nation or ethnic group (interestingly) unmentioned in the article. But it is a revolting and widespread practice that almost mimics the film, "The Island".

Here in NJ, the real news would be if they found a politician from either party that wasn't thoroughly corrupt.

What's missing from the item is any mention of the words "jew" or "jewish". The writer was willing to say rabbi, but not the other words.

@Anathema777: In the case of the Republican, it's just another example of the "culture of corruption". For the Democrats, they are probably the victims of a "vast right wing conspiracy". And I'm betting the Catholics are going after the rabbis.
