That's the only reason I suggested the thing from Belkin. How many people have a Dremel sitting around? Sure you could probably accomplish the task with some sort of pocket knife, but it's going to be all jagged looking and ugly and not smooth, and what 3G owner is going to stand for that? Personally, I'd rather not have the dock than have it be uncool. Was just an alternate suggestion. I didn't expect it would be met with controversy and drama. (I've got an Otterbox on the way, so we'll see.)  I'm looking for a car mount that is not a suction cup, no power, no FM modulator.  Just somewhere for it to sit securely.  They used to make them for satellite radios that would bolt to one of the seat bolts or in a crack on the dash, but I can't find one for iPhone.
