]]>The target demographic for most fast food ads is 18-34 year old men. Hardees, BK and other Freudian ad campaigns are aimed at the same group as beer and sexual enhamcement penis pills.
BTW, I'm 46 and thought the ad was hilarious.
]]>Stuff like this will appeal to many and piss off many others. Either way you remember it. The best fast food commercial I ever saw was later one night a while after the Janet Jackson Superbowl Fiasco. It was when BK was doing the commercials with the people in offices and they were all sitting around handing out the food and were one meal short. Two guys fight over it and end up ripping the one guys shirt open and he has his nipple pierced like Janet Jackson. They look at him and pause and he is just like What? What? I only saw it the once but it was hilarious. If anyone knows of the vid posted anywhere that would be great.
]]>@Raiders757: Low-carb Thickburger FTW! Hardees is the ONLY burger joint I've found that knows how to serve a bun-free burger that's actually edible as a burger — just need your two hands, no forks or knives necessary. And OhBTW it's a decent burger too.

]]>I kind of agree with esc27. Hardee's used to be one of the better fast food options. Then something changed and they went to shit town. I'm sorry to say that the teaming with Carl's Jr hasn't helped all that much. Hardee's needs to get back to the place many of us knew in the late 70's and early 80's. They were known more for their roast beef, which blew Arby's off the map. They were the original place to get buttermilk breakfast biscuits, and Mcdonald's couldn't touch them. Now they are nothing more than a pathetic chain with terrible food, slow service, and is way to expensive for the kind of food they serve.

And you know, regarding the flaming "brilliance" of disconnected messages in advertising having nothing to do with the actual products or services, it's amazing I hear so many people say "That was a great ad, now what the hell was it advertising, I can't remember..."
You clearly haven't been paying attention to advertising trends. They have completely devolved into insanity, confusion, base behavior and thinking and mental shock tactics. Kind of because it takes no talent, no morals or ethics and no other social redeeming values to be in marketing or advertising now.
I'd be all for a government bureacracy regulating advertising to be tasteful, respectful, ethical, direct and honest without manipulation or subliminal crap and requiring the various other good values it is obviously so sorely lacking.
The fact is corporations WILL NOT behave, play fair or respect people and society in general unless they are FORCED to and that includes their BADvertising.

Then I moved to the West Coast and tried Carl's Jr, which is, in fact, quite awesome. There's a HUGE difference in both quality and in the menu offerings. They do have a lot of the same things, but Hardee's is lacking most of the really good stuff from the Carl's Jr. menu, like the guacamole burger and the jalepeno burger and the teryaki burger and the Santa Fe chicken...
