The only exception is McDonalds. A year or so ago their coffee improved drastically, and so far, has stayed that way. I expect that to change any day now. It has to. Everyone else has let their coffee go to crap, McD's can't be far behind.
I used to go into places like DD for coffee all the time. Not any more. I'm making my own much more than before.

Except when the powder dispenser thing isn't working correctly and I end with a cup of hot brown water, which I don't realize until 20 minutes later b/c the thousand degree temp has prevented me from tasting it until then. Then I am a sad panda. :(
