The coupons have unique barcodes. You can't distribute copies. While the stores can't tell when you purchase, you're going to make the franchisees eat the cost when corporate won't reimburse them for the duplicates. Please don't ruin it for them or for us, the customers, when KFC sees shit like that and cancels all the coupons.

@Thaddeus: Yeah, not sure how this works. For one, it says right on the coupon (and on Oprah's site) that it is only valid if printed from UnthinkKFC.com. It also says that mechanically reproduced coupons will not be accepted - methinks that my handy Epson printer is a mechanical reproduction device.
OH WAIT! There is nothing to say that a hand-drawn representation of the coupon will not be accepted. Where's the guy that draws spiders?
@Thaddeus: It could me generating that code based on kinda-sorta individually identifiable information like your current ip address or... um... stuff. So if you downloaded the pdf three times, it'd still have the same code since you downloaded it to the same address. Maybe?
(I'm too lazy to test it and find out, and besides I don't eat chicken so I have no compelling interest. But mostly just the laziness.)

@Thaddeus: When I went to the Oprah site all the coupon codes were there same. When I downloaded the crapulent coupon app and printed my coupons from there and the 4 barcodes were NOT the same. I have been told by a few people now that KFC will not honor the Oprah Coupon and that people are now being directed to unthinkfc.com

You'd best use these up tonight. Oprah offering that PDF means that they'll likely pull the offer since it opens up a whole bunch of potential easy repeat visits instead of the slightly annoying way they made you do it via coupons.com

@trujunglist: The whole offer was done in conjunction with the Oprah show. That's why the offer exists.
I know that. However, the offer was NEVER intended to be distributed as a generic bar code, hence the need to dl the coupon printer. The fact is that many locations already will not accept the Oprah PDF.
@trujunglist: It certainly appears that Oprah endorsed this with KFC's knowledge. If you go to the UnthinkKFC.com site, it links back to Oprah's site.

I used two of these tonight at two different KFC's near my house. The first one closest to me had people in line with stacks of these. Using the coupon was no problem, but I swear the two pieces of chicken they gave me were so small they may have come from a pigeon. At the second run, I just ordered the mean without mentioning the coupon until I got to the window. Portions much better, but the girl at the window was a real bitch about it. She started to take my mean in back again, and I stopped her and said not to take the meal where I can't see it... I just saw the movie Waiting and just didn't want to risk it.

That's interesting. I saw a link somewhere earlier today (honestly can't remember where) for this deal, sans Oprah.
It's directly through the KFC site, but when you click to print the coupon, you're taken to another site that asks you to download software first to do so, which always sounds fishy to me.
The only software required is Acrobat... perhaps your version needs upgrading? It's just a link to a PDF... nothing fishy here (That would be Long John's...)

I was able to use 2 tonight at the Richfield, Minnesota KFC. They were really nice about it, took them cheerfully. I asked if I could upgrade to white meat for an extra charge, and they just gave us the breasts. So unlike another Minnesota chicken venue...
No problem at my KFC & generous portions. Asked for and got a breast (more meat!) and wing on all 3 orders.

I used Safari (Private Browsing on), and got 4 coupons, each with different #s.

BE CAREFUL! I printed this out and went to the local KFC. People were being DENIED it until they started complaining to corporate and causing a ruckus. Oprah's PDF file has numbers that are not unique as with the unthinkfc.com site. You should print it from the KFC site and not the Oprah site.
Also, MAKE SURE the yellow and the watermark behind the description of what you're getting shows up. I almost got denied it cuz he thought it was a copy. I said it was from a laser printer (which it was), and after enough fussing myself, they honored it.
Way to go Oprah for fighting stereotypes that black people like KFC, and fried chicken (oops now grilled chicken too).

Used the coupon with zero issue for supper tonight. A free meal is a free meal and I wanted some mashed potato-like food. The grilled chicken wasn't bad at all honestly. It tastes very strongly like chicken should. Little salty, little seasoned, a little surprisingly tasty from KFC all things considered. And my pieces were full-sized from a fresh batch. Were also 6 people using the coupon total in the time it took for the batch to cook.

I worked at KFC. I think I have a clinical fear of fast food chicken now, I don't care if its grilled on their grills used at least 500 times a day without being cleaned, as cooks swipe food off the trays lick their fingers and sneeze. oh, then stop to squish the cockroach tickling their toes. Fried chicken was never meant to be fast food (ever) I don't know who sold their soul to get it done, but the result it just plain scary.

I have two sets of computers and printer. Neither will print this coupon. They both say the browsers are not supported. I have both FireFox and IE on the computers. I have two different printers, I have XP on one computer and Vista on the other. Is anyone else having problems printing this coupon?
Or could it be KFC wanted the free publicity and not give out the coupons as promised?

The link from Consumerist gave me coupons with all the same code. I went to Oprah's site and got the 4 coupon limit with different codes. It was a pain though. I already have the printer installed, since I print coupons from Coupons.com all the time. But a couple of times it said I needed to install the printer and once it said it wasn't supported by my browser (or browser not supported by it?). Anyway, with some perseverance you can probably get them to print. Gotta really want some free KFC, I guess.
I haven't eaten there in years, but for free, I guess I'll try it.

A few work buddies hit KFC at lunch with coupons in hand. They said the line was out the door, and eventually the people working there were just tossing sacks of food at everyone in line without even looking at the coupons. Something tells me KFC is going to pull this offer before May 19.
