        <![CDATA[<p>@<a href="#c11966887" rel="nofollow">SergioDingo</a>: With good reason, too.  As we come out of this in another 3-4 years, inflation is going to skyrocket.  You actually want to accumulate debt in the down times and pay them off in the up times.  I realize that this sentiment will be looked upon with prejudice by most readers here, but bear me out.  Suppose you take out a $15000 car loan today.  First, rates are low to attract business in a tough market.  Discounts abound and interest rates are low to attract business, and it would be reasonable to expect that policies like TARP and TARF and PPIP will result in massive inflation as the credit market thaws.  In other words, you'll be paying that debt back with dollars that take less time and effort to earn.</p>]]>
