Took me a bit to realize what it was at first. Once I saw the intestines lining the inside, I knew it was The Empire Strikes Back.
I don't know if I would buy this though. I have the red 8-bit tie from them, but I can't see myself sleeping in one of these. Not even when I go camping.

@SNForrester: well obviously you still have to pay the artists, but yeah, you throw an idea out there and if any etsy artists are looking for something to do they can browse the alchemy postings and see if anything in their skill set fires up their imagination.

I want this sleeping bag so much that I don't even care if it is a kid size only. I'd still get one for myself and one for my will-grow-up-to-become-the-ruler-of-the-universe nephew. Darth Jake is not quite 1 year old yet, but someday you will tremble in terror at the very utterance of his name!

The lightsaber zipper pull makes this product so PERFECT that I almost want to cry great heaving sobs of joy.

@Nighthawke: The larger challenge will be getting it past the CPSC if they really intend to sell it for kids. The lightsaber zip-pull will probably have to go since choking hazards are the first things to get products recalled.
Much like Under-Roos and cartoon sheets, companies fail to realize that many men are geeks at heart, and wouldn't mind having a pair or two of Superman/Spiderman underwear. Honestly, if I could get Star War sheets like I had when I was a kid for my King size bed, I would buy them. If a girl is really turned off by kid style sheets, how can you expect her to like you for who you really are?

@CargoHolder_GitEmSteveDave: learn to sew? sheets aren't that hard and a quick google search turned up a half dozen places that sell various prints of star wars fabric. use the selvage edges as the sides and all you need is a hem on the top and bottom
@catastrophegirl: I do own 3 Singers and a Brother sewing machine, but I'm not sure they sell fabric big enough for a king size bed. It's hard enough finding wool blankets nearly big enough, so I usually have to sew two together. It works, but as you can see below, isn't the most attractive.
@CargoHolder_GitEmSteveDave: how sad! you're quite right, i can only find fabric up to 45 inches wide. and the only site i found that does custom bedding is sold out of star wars block print for duvet covers.

@gStein: The last time I saw a website that implemented a sarcasm tag, I couldn't really tell, as the maroon that it colored the text as wasn't easily distinguishable from black for my colorblind eyes.

@catastrophegirl: R2D2 wasn't in the cave. In fact, his sensors couldn't pick up any life signs, which is why Han went out there. The tent would have a Wampa printed on the back, icicle LED lights for seeing inside, and room for the sleeping bags. It will work, trust me. I've seen it already. In my mind! :)

Hey now, no disparaging the ladies. I had Star Wars sheets on my bed until the boyfriend (husband now) moved in and said no more. Now we have a queen and I can't find them. I so would though if I could.

This happened with the 8-bit tie a few years ago. I think April fool's day is just an excuse for them to show some of their experimental items without fear of them being laughed off if they're garbage.
