So as long as you pour it into a glass (as you should with any beer), the only flavor difference is...in your head.</p>]]>

Since the cheap American macros have come in cans for so long, the can is seen as a sign of "cheapness" to those who enjoy a finer brew, despite it actually being a superior means of packaging beer.  Some of the larger microbreweries(if you could still call them that) have started to put out their beer in cans.  New Belgium packages Fat Tire in cans now.</p>
<p>And anyone who complains about a metallic taste is obviously drinking straight from the can, and therefore "doing it wrong", anyway.</p>]]>

Like you said, it's always consistent, and tastier!  Plus, it's probably the best case of beer you can buy for under $17, in my opinion.</p>]]>

Completely opaque to avoid skunking, lighter than glass, more efficient to recycle than glass, and more rugged than glass.  Not to mention, some of the tastiest brews in the country come in cans.
