]]>Speaking of fair, I though Obama's response to JTP was pretty fair, and thorough, whether you agree with his tax proposal or not. People are making it sound like Obama was publicly humiliated by the question, but he seemed pretty cool about it at the time. And their conversation, that would have been the end of it, had McCain not vaulted him to fame and embraced him as part of his message.
The implication of Obama's proposal for small business is a serious issue, worth looking at, and personally I'm not sure it's prudent. However, making a liar a pillar of your campaign is irresponsible and shouldn't be allowed to let pass no matter WHAT party you belong to. Making a liar the posterboy for this issue also clouds it, obfuscating any real, honest scrutiny.

Let's not mix up the editorial page with the news section. Yes, Obama leads in newspaper endorsements, but that doesn't mean the reporters support that position. Journalists lean left in the same way that stockbrokers lean right -- it's the nature of the work and the people it attracts. But a majority of reporters will never go on the record about their voting choice and many refuse to vote just to help them remain as neutral as they can be.
