Scratching my head over the \"should you drop your comprehensive car insurance\" bit. It seems to me that once your car's Blue Book drops to a certain point, say, five grand, it no longer pays to keep full coverage on it, regardless of your financial situation. I can think of a lot of things I'd rather be doing with that money besides handing it over to the insurance company to insure a beater.
As for the fund selection, I'd write a much shorter article:
1. Buy low fee index funds.
2. Don't try to time the market.
3. Go to the beach.
