Just before the Department of Interior's inspector general released reports that laid bare the oil-and-sex scandal in the department's oil royalties office this week, Interior won an annual award from the federal Office of Government Ethics, The Post's Mary Pat Flaherty and Derek Kravitz report.

Four more years of eight more years sounds like SUCH a great plan. After allowing even more oil-drilling in pristine, fragile national parks. Because there are mounds of cocaine left untouched, and high-priced call girls left wanting.

I think the saddest part about this, is that no one is surprised. There is very little shock value to this story, besides the fact that it's actually being uncovered.

Wow, another sordid tale of government malfeasance. And since the criminal politicization of virtually all facets of government, what was once actionable is now the staus quo. It isn't that there isn't anything anyone can do, rather no one's going to do anything about it.

OUR treasury is being raped by these crooks, in broad daylight. This administration is like Hans and his eurotrash gang in the first "Die Hard"- never had any actual ideals or demands, it was always just about stealing the money.

There's bitter consolation though- Dobson, the CNP and the rest of the wackjob home-schooled christianist trash were completely tooled out for their wasted votes, and all they got was skull-fucked in their wallets with the rest of us.

And yes, this is why people hate the government. And the oil companies.. hell, this is why a lot of people hate anything you can prepend 'Big' to (IE, big-tobacco, big-pharma, big-oil).

* Two employees engaged in "brief sexual relationships" with customers but didn't recuse themselves from handling work involving those companies and officials. One employee said she didn't disclose the contact or consider it improper because "she did not consider a 'one-night stand' to be a personal relationship" and didn't think it would affect government business. One program official allegedly had sex with two subordinates and bought cocaine, sometimes at his office.

So, the Interior Dept. is staffed by pimps and 'hoes.
