]]>In this case the Mavericks Suck drive has a Code 128 barcode that also reads mavericks suck, which I would assume would throw up errors in the inventory management software. If not at the distributor, then surely at the factory?

Of course the barcodes are different. That is an evil ploy by barcode companies to make all barcodes different. Those evil bastards.
]]>Well this one is setting off my "BS Alert" big time. The bar codes are used to quickly log stock in and out of the warehouse. Whoever was scanning the stock prior to shipment would have noticed the different identifier code (which is probably just "Mavericks Suck" in barcode font).
The Mavericks barcode is clearly different from the other two and the label isn't even completely attached to the ESD bag.

]]>I'm gonna be the nice guy and say it was probably put there while training someone how to use the computer to print out the stickers with the bar codes. The stickers probably got passed down the line where it got applied to the drive without anyone noticing.
