mmm makes me wish we had White Castle out here. For now I'll have to settle for Bacon Cheddar Potato Wedges. They really are worth the trans fat. The portions could be larger though...if they had man-sized portions they'd be topping the list no problem.

The exclusions make me wonder how much is really in them. Del Taco and Carl's are frequent stops for me, and neither was included in the trans fat census.

It's also worth keeping in mind that many foods that advertise "0g trans fat!!!omghealthy!!" STILL CONTAIN TRANS FAT, just less than .5g per serving. A handful of major food brands have decreased their serving sizes to put the trans fat per serving right below that exact mark.

Basically, if the ingredients list partially hydrogenated anything, you probably shouldn't eat it.

From the AHA website: ...."For example, a sedentary female who is 31-50 years old needs about 2,000 calories each day. Therefore, she should consume less than 16 g saturated fat, less than 2 g trans fat, and between 50 and 70 grams of total fat each day (with most fats coming from sources of polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats, such as fish, nuts, seeds and vegetable oils).".....There are many caveats regarding total intake of trans fat. Be careful what you read.
