I thought the Chinese penalty model still involved lead (not paint.) Two small lead bits injected at high velocity into the back of the head.

If only these Chinese toys were a little bigger, Brownback could take them out to the Capitol steps and smash them with his baseball bat for the cameras.

What about importers' failing to import quality, safe products? Oh yeah, I forgot, it's called the bottom line. Importers would not profit quite as much if they actually paid workers a decent wage, or *gasp* they brought the manufacturing back to the US.
How many children have these lead tainted toys killed or wounded, compared to say, handguns?
I repeat my info from the other lead article today-- IQ deficits, learning disabilities, behavioral problems, stunted or slowed growth, and impaired hearing are the side effects.. I guess if they dont die its ok right? And last time I checked, toys were not MADE to kill or make kids sick.. guns are made to kill.
And to further pontificate- this will be a problem for everyone if the lead is as prevalent as they say, because a whole generation of kids will suffer from the above afflictions- and who pays for that? We all do...
Ooh! Ooh! Penalties! Can we use the Chinese one, where they chop off the head of the head of the associated government department? It would be a conciliatory acknowledgement of their culture AND involve no lead paint!
