Are we sure this is for Zune? Of the three scenarios shown, only one shows people looking at a hand-held device. The other two show people looking at a television-style device, and a laptop-style device. Plus, it suggests that, whatever it is, it's coming in Summer 2006. Which is here and nearly gone. And last I heard Zune was coming in late 2006.
Are we sure this isn't a teaser ad for Microsoft's Live Anywhere?

Good lord, I haven't seen a conceptual teaser so bad since the Infiniti ads of 1989.
And we see how long it took Nissan;'s premium brand to overcome that little mistake, didn't we? After selling a few cars in the mid-90s, they pretty much went to sleep until about three years ago, when their corporate parents had something compelling to sell - the G35.
I don't think the Zune will do well for a variety of reasons - this commercial is one of them. The fact that Microsoft has taken a giant dump on it's \"partners\" like Creative labs just goes to show that you don't \"partner\" with Microsoft - you _whore_ for Microsoft and hope they don't show you the back of their oft-duplicitous hand.

The future of entertainment? Everybody staring at the screen of a Microsoft product wonder what the hell is going on with multi-color screens of death? Spending hours on the phone with CSRs trying to figure out how to get the damn thing to work? Spending more time downloading drivers than using the device? Having to convert everything to wmp/wmv format using inferior compression algorithms? DRM! And let's not forget that the initial seventy releases of the software will have so many backdoors and shoddy coding that it will be virused within the first 3 hours of release...friggin nifty.
The best chance for Msoft to compete with the iPod is if they started making bootleg iPods and sold them out the back of a van. Or if they fell off the truck or something.
You'd think that a company with $44 billion in revenue could make better commercials...anyway, just what our media market needs, another competing exclusive and limited DRM infected device.
