I'm a big fan of KFC's Sweet and Sour sauce. The deal with KFC (at least here in Vegas) is that the sauces carried by each location are decided by the individual manager. There are some in this town who won't carry Sweet and Sour, therefore I will not go to those places.
.....I'm kind of shocked. I always like the McNugget more than other chicken-bit-like products. I always assumed that it got that wonderful greasy taste because of a high dark-meat content! I haven't eaten them in years, though, and now I won't! Thanks for the heads-up! No cotton-mouth dry crap for me!
Word. That sweet and sour sauce is crazy delicious.
McDonald's has improved their nugget formula, though. When I was a kid, all kinds of unmentionable dark meats were included in the processed chicken medallions. In response to Wendy's delicious all-white meat chicken nugget onslaught, though, McDonald's went to all white, also. At that point they also subtly changed the nugget batter, with lighter, crispier, more golden results.
Definitely an improvement. So there's corn up in that mofo? Meh. As long as I got the sauce I'm cool.
Wendy's hawaiian sweet and sour is also very tasty, though you may as well splurge for their chicken strips and go all the way. No fast food chicken product exceeds Wendy's chicken strips.
