(I think that may be a Cory Doctorow quote, but I don't recall).  Honest users aren't the problem.</p><p>The \"guidelines for ... usage rights acquired\" is a bunch of BS.  Apple's iTunes store has already demonstrated, multiple times, that the rights you acquired can change at any time.  That surely will confuse the honest users, since something they might have done yesterday isn't allowed anymore today.</p><p>As a Mac and Linux user I'm already running into DRM problems.  I tried clicking on a VH1 \"Best of the 80's\" (or whatever they call it now) preview/advertisement/videos and the site told me I couldn't view the ad because they don't have a DRM player for the Mac.  Its apparently more important to set these guidelines (that people who don't pay the Microsoft Tax aren't allowed to view advertisment material) than to advertise.</p><p>Would a paying advertiser agree to that?<br /></p>        </div>	<div class=\"reply\">	 <div class=\"reply-button\"><a title=\"Reply\" href=\"javascript:void(0);\" onclick=\"mtReplyCommentOnClick(54288, 'Brian Gee')\">Reply</a></div>		<!-- if it's a top level category ' -->		    </div><!-- end reply- button -->    </div></div>        <!-- Display comment (top level parent) -->    </div>","<div class=\"comments-content\">        <div class=\"comment\" id=\"comment-54568\">    <div class=\"inner\">	 <div class=\"user-pic\">                <a href=\"\"><img src=\"/css/images/default.gif\"         width=\"60\" height=\"60\" alt=\"user-pic\" /></a>            </div>        <div class=\"comment-header\">            <div class=\"asset-meta\"> <div class=\"vcard author\">RedSeven    </div>				<div class=\"comment-date\"><a href=\"http://consumerist.com/2006/02/mpaa-says-drm-exists-to-annoy-honest-customers.html#comment-54568\"><abbr class=\"published\" title=\"0000-00-00T00:00:00-05:00\">December  0, 0000 12:00 AM</abbr></a></div>				<div class=\"comment-moderate\"><span><a href=\"javascript:moderateComment(54568);\">Moderate</a> |</span><a href='javascript:void(0)' onClick=\"return moderate(this, 'http://consumerist.com/cgi-bin/mt/plugins/Moderate/moderate.cgi?__mode=flag&comment_id=54568');\">Flag for review</a></div>            </div>        </div><!-- end comment header -->        <div class=\"comment-content\">            <p>As a British downloader I'd point out that I still go to the cinema more than most people I know.
